"Lovely room overlooking the river. Refurb in progress and one or two minor niggles with the room (which did not spoil things). Young staff very attentive and friendly. Lovely and substantial continental breakfast. Greatly improved since our previous stay before present owner took over. Overall very pleasant overnight stay and will certainly visit again. Convenient for Bray restaurants!"

Taplow House Hotel & Spa

4.0 star property
8.2 out of 10, Very good, (327)
"The sign at the entrance is difficult to see in the day and at night when dark and raining it is totally impossible to see. I was driving round for over an hour until a phone call to the helpful night receptionist revealed we were 200 metres away. Good illumination would kill the problem and save us making a night journey home to Dorset."

Holiday Inn Maidenhead Windsor, an IHG Hotel

4.0 star property
8.0 out of 10, Very good, (673)
"The hotel is closing to guests in order to take in refugees so not such a smooth operation. Not the fault of staff who were all friendly and helpful. Full marks to Kamman who kept bar open after his shift ended for late revellers. We were attending a wedding nearby so didn’t require full facilities. Breakfast ok but very busy. "
