"The room was comfortable and well-appointed, with a fantastic view. The bed was super-comfortable. The meals were all excellent and there was lots of variety. Reservations weren’t required at the restaurants and we never had to wait to get in. The entertainment was spectacular, especially the circus show (although they could dial the volume down a notch from ear-splitting to just loud). We enjoyed the activities such as sea kayaking, volleyball, and pool exercise. The beach is uncrowded, beautiful with calm water, and you can take long walks, unlike many places in PV. We also took advantage of the spa and had great massages at a reasonable price. But the best part was the super-friendly, attentive, and competent staff. Although they were working hard, they seemed to be having so much fun that it was almost like they were fellow vacationers. Unfortunately, I have forgotten many of their names, but Kevin and Antonio on the activities staff, anf Henri on the waitstaff of the Mexican restaurant stand out. My only complaint was the loud music that played throughout the resort, often late into the night. This was especially true the first few days we were there. I guess it’s to be expected at a Hard Rock Hotel, but at times when we wanted to just enjoy the calm beach or relax and read by the pool it was distracting. Later in the week it wasn’t as much of a problem — I’m not sure if we just got used to it or it just varies throughout the week. All in all, we had a great time."

"We have been using this resort for 25 years because it is small, quiet, great staff, and relaxing. Yes, the property is a bit dated but the rooms are fine and the beds comfortable. We will continue to take our winter vacations here because we are happy here!"

"This resort was beautiful, we were skeptical when we read other reviews but we were very happy with everything, the staff was awesome and very willing to help in every way they could. The Grand room we had was very clean and had a very nice view of the courtyard. Yes this resort is kid friendly however this did not affect how our trip went at all. The food was quite good despite the reviews being not great. We very much enjoyed the Las Palomas and Amalfi specialty restaurants for dinner. The Casa Bella buffet had a very good assortment for breakfast, lunch, and dinner as well. If we were craving a snack on the beach, La Bamba was the place to go, great Hamburgers and hot dogs with great side choices. The only thing foodwise that did not live up to our expectations was the Piazzetta dei Forni restaurant. The crust tasted cheaper and they put cut up hotdogs on some of them. Just for people looking at all of the different restaurants, if you book the all inclusive package, you do not have access to Mai Tai and Capriccio as they are for owners/VIP members. Everywhere else is free to eat at. Note to book at one of the specialty restaurants you need to wake up early and book them. All of the bars and swim up bars were amazing and had a different drinks of the day every day. The bartenders were very friendly and willing to make anything requested. Our trip was great and we have next to no complaints about Marival Emotions, would recommend to anybody with or without kids. "

"We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Loved the 3 large pools, two were heated. The beach was amazing. It's only a half hour walk to the shopping centre. The menus for the specialty restaurants was quite good. The buffet was excellent with different themes each day and a nice variety of dishes. The bed was very comfortable. The staff were kind and personable. We would definitely visit again!"
