3/5 - Okay
A bit steep going there for an hours and forking out 50 bucks for the alpine pass.

A bit expensive for accommodation unless you have a lodge option or a friend's place to drop in on. Ski hire is 20% cheaper off the mountain, JD Sports at Bright or Myrtleford, or Hoys in multiple places. Kids Club at the resort is fantastic value, our 6yo got into linked turns on day 2 going down Big D. We bought lots of clothes from Aldi but don't forget to buy goggles before getting to Hotham as sun glare is intense on the mountain. Arrive afternoon before and pick up gear to avoid a lengthy queue in the morning at all the hire shops.
Not very pretty - needs a lot of renos and updating around Mt Hotham and accommodations. Better signage for shops/cafes and better outdoor areas for seasons other than winter
