"Very basic. We only needed a bed for the night. Did not notice it was in a pub. But the girl who attended us was nice and did a good breakfast in the morning."
"If you are looking for a budget overnight stay close to the train station for a gig or a show then I would recommend Belmonte. It served that purpose perfectly for me and I would use it again. "
"I had a disabled room which was spacious and easy to manoeuvre a wheelchair around. However, the bed was low and I difficult to get in and out of.The following would have been helpful: - shelving around the sink suitcase stand higher hanging rail in wardrobe The doors in the corridor were a nightmare to get through on walking sticks or in a wheelchair. I could not have managed them on my own. Easier to go round outside of building than use corridors"
"The hotel was located in a quiet area
With good parking
The food was excellent although an offering of fresh fruit for breakfast would of been appreciated
The bed and room was comfortable"
"Beautiful hotel. Clearly a labour of love and wonderful to stay in a building with local history. Quiet and peaceful despite being in the town centre. Lots of great food and drink options nearby. "

"The room was excellent, spacious, luxurious, clean.
I had limited contact with the staff but they were helpful and polite. Whilst I realise it's a listed building the outside looks a little tired. Location is very good."
"Staff make the hotel, everyone was so friendly, I came with wife and our autistic son, he was made up with how staff liaised with him, even the kids pack which included a lanyard (he collects lanyards)
Room was comfortable and breakfast was lovely "
