"Location - there is a pick up service from jr nakuro onsen station. You need to notify the hotel in advance for the pick up service. Staff- they are very nice. I got off at the wrong jr station. The next train will be an hour later but the hotel staff was already at the station waiting for me. I was very lucky to get some assistance from a local gentleman. "Overall the property was good, especially for the price. The only downside was the parking was supposed to be free but I was told the garage was full and that i couldnt park there. However, i saw several open spots, but they still did not let me park there. Instead i had to pay for parking that the hotel would not reimburse. Other than the false information about free parking the hotel was what we expected."

"Lovely hotel. My room was large and had a view of the mountains. The onsen is small but has a nice outdoor pool which was delightful in the rain. Staff don't speak a lot of English but used translators to help. The restaurant is very nice with attention to every detail. I would stay here again."

Drifting off to sleep in a dark room with the snow falling through the positioned sliding windows as to not see any of the surrounding modern day buildings, was a marvellous experience that I shall treasure forever.
