Staff friendly and check in easy Our double room was cute with a little sofa area and table and chairs next to a cute little window overlooking the rear car park but … with a view to the lake I love old properties like this and it was decorated lovely too The negatives .. No towels in room so had to get these ourselves Weird ‘old peoples home’ smell around as a whole but sheets smelled this way too It was very clean just this...

"Room was nice but small . Breakfast staff friendly. Considering it was double would.not expect bathroom to.have a small.cloakroom size sink with no where to put anything and shower cubicle not spacious . Bed comfy. Felt we got short straw on room . Bar feels odd having to register for a table to sit inside and felt conducive to a warm welcome. Chose not to eat in pub "

"Can’t fault this hotel it has everything. Lovely rooms, place to relax in the swimming/sauna area. The restaurant was so nice with amazing food and lovely staff. The lounge is a cosy place to chill and have a drink in front of the fire places. Overall a lovely hotel that’s not far from anything, is affordable and offers so much. We have already planned to return "

"The hotel is a large old inn on the outside, but inside is modern, clean and very comfortable. The staff were very friendly and looked after us very well. For example: we were shown to our room on arrival (never had that before) and were a font of knowledge about the various local walks and sights. There is even a map painted on the ceiling of the bar! Restaurant was an excellent source of hearty and freshly cooked meals (breakfasts and dinners). Highly recommend."
