"Check-in system was badly managed - got in line for reception for 10 minutes to get to the front and then be told there’s a ticket system. Understandable if super busy but it wasn’t. Train station difficult to understand and unreliable. Bus on time but very overcrowded. However, room clean and tidy campsite. Breakfast croissants and coffee were delicious and good value."

One especially helpful staff member was a gentleman named Tifiano who gave us some great recommendations for things to do and restaurants. He also went above and beyond to try and help us with a sticky situation involving another hotel. If we have the good fortune of being able to return to Rome, we will definitely stay here again."

We also found a laundry mat that washed and folded our clothes mid trip. For us the walk to the colosseum was doable. Highly recommend this hotel. "

"My wife and I spent three nights wonderful nights at the Splendide Royal The service from all staff was amazing but I would like to give a special shout out to Ivan who was amazing and so helpful.
