Our stay was okay but nothing special. I booked mainly for the waterpark for my 9 year old and 13 year old. However, they didn't even use it because there was hardly any water in the slides and they had to push them selves down so we left and stayed at the pools. So that was pretty disappointing. I didnt even see other kids using the slides which was probably why. All the restaurants were good but the buffet was hectic to say the least. I think the staff tried their best to keep up but the amount of guest in there during breakfast and lunch was insane. All the pools were extremely cold and they do not have any hot tubs. The rooms were nice however there were no cushions on the balcony furniture. It was metal chairs that were extremely uncomfortable to sit in since they were ment for cushions. It was an okay place for a few nights but we definitely wouldn't go back.

Sadly, that location was a poor decision! The staff was extremely impolite, and despite numerous assurances about the Privilege package, nothing actually materialized! The rooms are not cleaned thoroughly. I had to plead for dinner reservations, and recently, I nearly missed my flight because my butler didn't arrange my taxi as I asked. The bell service was awful.

Overall great experience at this resort. Great service, with friendly staff. They could use a better system for making reservation for their Teppanyaki restaurant. Steakhouse could also use some work with how well they cook the steaks. Both of ours were well over cooked.

We went on a family (parents and 2 toddlers) vacation for Christmas and NY eve. The stay was overall great. The rooms and common areas are very clean and well maintained. Food and drinks are good enough. Water park is awesome for the kids, only thing to improve there is that it closes at 5pm, I read before going it was closing at 6pm but all our stay was open from 9am to 5pm. Beach is not the best in the area, it's rocky. I recommend wearing swimming shoes. Many kids and adults came back from the sea wounded because of sharpy rocks. We met some great people who made us had a great vacation like Fernando and Lisandro from the guest service. One of the things we've found in other hotels nearby, and it is convenient but this hotel is lacking, is being able to bring snacks to the beach or the pool. You spend a lot of time when you go either the snack bar or the buffet to eat. Some of the workers were rude, could be because they were working in the holidays, even though that should not happen. Long waits for restaurants (even with reservation) were a reason why we ended up eating mostly in the buffet. Food in the buffet was diverse and good enough for us to enjoy eating there. For New Years Eve they put a lot of effort to make us feel in a different atmosphere at the dinner. All the new decorations and the party were amazing... but dinner was not so well organized. All the guests were seated at the same time, it was impossible to grab food and eat in family at the same time.

The service was really good, I saw cockroaches outside one night and there was a bird inside the restaurant pooping. Other than those points it was a 5/5 experience. The food was very tasty and of good quality and the staff were all super nice and professional

This is our second trip to Ocean Riviera Paradise and the first time was great but after second trip I won’t be going again. Staff not friendly especially at check in area. Property not as well maintained anymore. Every time it rained we would have water coming through the ceiling. Another big disappointment was cleanliness…cockroaches … they were huge 😬. Never again!

We like the resort and the amenities. I did not enjoy the food at all. The buffet has a bird problem and they need to get it rectified. There should never be live animals where humans eat. The resort was great for the kids and we enjoyed our time. The Japanese restaurant was the best out of all restaurants.

We were well taken care of at this resort. We had a few bumps and they were quickly rectified by the excellent and helpful guest services staff. Overall our stay was wonderful. The resort is inclusive for just about everyone. Entertainment staff was entertaining and kind. We checked out each of the restaurants and the spa. Don’t regret booking our trip here. That being said, areas/opportunities for improvement or to be mindful of if important to you specifically: 1. Being around wild life was amazing, but despite MANY signs, other guests kept making us uncomfortable by feeding, petting, even kicking the animals. I feel the resort could do more to enforce this expectation. If you lose a towel it’s $100, maybe it should cost money to potentially harm animals. 2. We were a group of 12 under 4 bookings, trying to eat together was an absolute nightmare. More could be done to make group reservations a tolerable experience. It seemed 8 people was the upper limit before staff were flustered trying to accommodate us. 3. We booked a tour or whatever from the resort for 11 of us, as 1 was unsure if they’d be well the next day. The agent was extremely pushy and sold us on the fact we could add the last person ‘no problem’, as the van would be 12 people and no one was going to book for the 1 person by the next day. Next morning came and we could not add the last person. There was no 12th seat. This did mean someone from our group sat out, and alone for 8 hours. We felt a real absence of empathy from everyone when trying to deal with this and ultimately nothing was able to be done.

Our stay at Ocean Riviera Paradise was okay—better than some, worse than others. The rooms were nicely decorated, though one had mould on the ceiling. Cleaning staff were friendly and left us small goodies. There are many pools, but access depends on where you’re staying. We mainly used the Eden pool, which loses sun early but was the best option. The ocean pool was packed, and getting drinks there took forever. The Eden pool bartenders were awesome but clearly overworked. Daytime food options were inconvenient. You could walk to the kids’ pool for burgers, wait an hour at the ocean restaurant, or get room service, which we often did. Room service has limited hours and charges after 10 PM and for breakfast. Orders are per person, not per room, with a one-order-per-hour limit. The buffet was just okay, better skipped for lunch or dinner. The steakhouse, Italian, and Sukra restaurants were excellent, and Route 66 was a good backup but first-come, first-served. We attended the sales presentation. While the math works out for the deal, they push you to buy before fully experiencing the resort, likely because it won’t impress you by the end. It took 150 minutes instead of the promised 90 but was worth the spa upgrade—Sandra at the spa was incredible! We chose this resort for its allergy-friendly reputation, as my mom is Celiac. Unfortunately, she was contaminated at least once, leaving her stuck in the room for days. They’re more accommodating than most but not perfect.

We did genuinely enjoy our stay here. The resort is clean, and the staff are very friendly. The food is actually very good, with lots of variety. The resort rooms have seen some wear and could probably use some maintaining. We were in the Eden section on the 4th floor. We had one day of very bad rain and had an insane amount of water leak into our room. Shouldn’t be an issue because I’ve never seen it rain that hard before. Our biggest issue, the lines!!! To make a reso at the Teppanyaki, you had to line up at 8:30 AM and wait 1 hr to make your booking. If you didn’t arrive to the buffet during “non-peak” hours, expect to get NO food, and wait in more lines. 45 min waits to get into lunch restaurants, 30 min wait to grab your coffee from the coffee shop. It was really quite frustrating. Was not enjoyable to set an alarm on my holiday to get up early enough to get food for breakfast. That being said, after making a few pivots with timing, we did have a good time. The staff are friendly, the beach is wonderful and the resort grounds are kept clean and the food is great. I don’t think I would personally stay here again, but I would say it’s a nice hotel to go to on a budget.
