"Very old hotel , so not in pristine condition, but if it were it would lose its character. It’s the oldest hotel in Brighton. Very clean and the staff were lovely, particularly the young lady in the restaurant this morning (15/5). Will definitely be returning "

"The hotel is great. Very clean and has an elevated contemporary feel for the price. Check in was phenomenal with a special shout out to Sam, who was fantastic. We ate in the restaurant and although the food was excellent and the staff really lovely, it was clear that they were very short staffed, as it took ages to order, I waited 30 minutes for my drink, and the food took a very long time to arrive. We ate a starter and main and, were seated for over 2 hours. I asked for the bill as soon as our main course arrived as feared we’d be there 3 hours! The staff were apologetic and they couldn’t have done more with the few that were there. "
