"Blown away by the service of all staff, right from arrival. Was able to easily upgrade to Xhale Club upon arrival (for a very reduced rate). Had no real intentions of upgrading, but was just curious to see how much they would ask for to upgrade, and it was very negotiable (the resort was not at capacity throughout our stay so this helped with our upgrade negotiations). WOULD recommend upgrading to xhale club solely off of the service we received by the pool staff at the energy pool. Enrique, Vincente & Edwin specifically provided 5 star service throughout our stay. They made sure to reserve our chairs on the xhale side of the energy pool every morning, first thing so we did not have to worry about getting up early to reserve chairs. Enrique and Vincente were delightful and were truly invested in our experience and were very approachable for anything we may have needed. They even went above and beyond to make sure we had pool floaties each and every day. Edwin, and his brother who are the cocktail servers on the xhale side of the energy pool were fabulous. They came by every 5-10 minutes to see if we were ready for another drink, snack, pizza or anything we could have thought of. They were super friendly and genuine and we will truly miss them and their service provided. A part of our upgrade was getting an ocean front swim out room, and we were delighted to get continued drink service while in the swim out pool. All of the food exceeded expectations, especially asian."

"Only complaint is the amount of seaweed on the beach. Approximately 10 to 12 feet of seaweed (sargassum) lined the entire shoreline and was rotting the entire time. I didn't seem like much effort was being put into clearing the shoreline during our stay. The rotting sargassum also produces an unpleasant odor that permeates the entire property. Also the potential for the seaweed situation is not highlighted in any way during the booking process. Would not recommend staying at this resort during the summer months due to sargassum. "

"Property was clean and well-kept. House keepers did an amazing job cleaning. I went out after dinner and came back to a clean room with bed remade and towels/washcloths restocked. Only 1 restaurant on the secrets side that was really good for breakfast lunch and dinner. However, you would have to go on the breathless side for other restaurants and entertainment. Secrets is for sure, the relaxing side, but you get the best of both worlds "
