"This hotel offers a beautiful lobby, restaurant, and well-appointed rooms, though our stay was marred by a non-functioning AC, requiring us to open the window for cooling. The breakfast, available for a small fee, was exceptional with a variety of traditional and western options. Its location is fantastic, just a short walk from the train station and Dotonbori. "I love the Citadines hotel chain and stayed at many other properties around the world. This one was an old Takashimaya store space and redone into guest rooms and a community food hall next door. Great value for the size of room with kitchenette, and also laundry room, play room for kids, community work/lounge area with coffee machine. Great location close to many services and short 10 min walk to Namba station. Lively area but not jam packed with tourists and noisy bars."

"The room was fine and there was a large extra space that we ended up using as a walk-in closet but the bathroom was very small with a tiny slippery tub and a big step that made the access very awkward. Regardless, after 3 days we wanted to stay one more week in Osaka and asked to keep the room but our request was denied although we knew a room was still available. So we moved to a better hotel. Since they cater to large groups we figured they couldn’t care less about us."
