"Rooms shabby in parts. Bathroom very dated. We were celebrating an anniversary and special birthday but all we had was writing on a mirror. This was a disappointment. I also thought I left my watch in the room after checkout. I called to find out. Never heard back from them. They could have at least phoned to say they hadn’t located it. Breakfast felt rushed and was buffet whereas before it was al la carte. Don’t feel it’s 5 stars. It so could be with more attention to detail "

"In the main all I ask for in a hotel is to be clean and safe. But occasionally I encounter a hotel that deserves praise. We stayed for two nights. The room was large and comfortable. Staff throughout the hotel were efficient and courteous. Breakfast was good, dinner even better. Add complimentary access to the pool, jacuzzi and sauna and the result is amazing value. Thoroughly recommended. "

"Overall it was a pleasant stay. We stayed on route to the ferry and it’s conveniently placed to access that easily. We used the the Pod Point charger for our electric car over night which was easy to use and worked well. The hotel itself is pretty dated with lots of temporary fixes covering holes/breaks. The part we stayed in was old so the floor above was very noisy when they were walking about as they settled for bed. We also used the pool with the kids on arrival which was nice and they...

"Everything was exceptional It would have been nice to have the outdoor spa facility included in your stay rather than a surcharge but that would be my only niggle we had a fabulous one night stay"

"We had a really lovely large room which was much appreciated. Great location for shops, restaurants. some initial problems with parking which was quickly resolved. This was our second stay at the Novotel. Would stay again "

"Beautiful place to stay, very friendly, welcoming staff who offered very good service. We had a lovely courtyard room, very clean, had everything we needed, excellent food both dinner and breakfast, lots of choice. Would definitely stay again and recommend to friends. Lovely stay for a chilled weekend."

"Property was quite upmarket, but guests were not made to feel uneasy about this.My only quibble would be why they took a pending payment from my card on arrival, but then on checkout took the payment to settle our bill but the first payment was still pending on our bank account two days later. Who was holding that money in meantime."
