Worst stay I've ever had
The first night, an alarm started going off in the general hallway that was a squealing noise. It did not end until ~36 hours later despite them being notified. That same first night, our smoke detector started chirping (All of this while we were trying to sleep from a 9-hr flight). I messaged them with no answer then called them. They said they would get someone out. I finally was able to get it off without breaking it. No one showed up by the time we left two days later. That same night, a person tried for 15 minutes to enter our apartment with the wrong key. The second night, the guest or residents in the apartment above us were screaming obsennities at each other. We had to turn on something for our kids so they didn't have to listen to it. After their fight, they blaired music at the highest volume for about 2 hours. All of this, in theory, might not have been the host's fault, but I believe it was exasserbated by their horrible communication and response. I tried to reach out multiple times before our stay only to finally reach someone 4 hours in advance. The person trying to enter our apartment, I assume, had the wrong apartment, but it took 15 minutes of trying to touch base with host before resolving. The place was clean and conveniently close to the airport, but we would never stay here again after this experience. I requested a partial refund from VRBO. They refused. I requested one from the host and am still waiting on a response.
