"Really fabulous room, the breakfast was great. Staff were very friendly and a credit to your business. If I had to say one thing negative, the mattress was extremely hard which may be to some people’s taste."

"Check in was smooth with the details we needed. Katrina on the front desk was very friendly and even interacted with my 5 year old. She gave her a kids pack with colouring which I thought was a lovely touch. We were on the 2nd floor in a double queen bed room. The room had lots of space and was very clean and smelt fresh. We used the swimming pool which was perfect for our little girl. It was 8am on a Sunday so not too busy. All facilities at the leisure were good and friendly staff. We ate room service for tea and the food was very tasty. A little on the expensive side but as expected at a hotel. Breakfast was good with enough choice. It was busy Sunday morning for breakfast so lots of fresh food was being turned around. The staff again were very helpful and friendly. The location is brilliant and the hotel was easy to get to. We had been to beamish for the day and travelled about 15/20 minutes to get to the hotel. I would definitely stay again and would recommend to anyone especially families. Only a few points I noticed was no fridge in the room, there was plenty of mirrors in the room/bathroom but no magnifying mirror. There only seemed to be one lift working too which meant quite long delays. There was no sign saying the other lift was out of order but it definitely wasn’t working. These points are minor and not enough to not make me want to go back. Overalll fantastic stay and the staff were great! "

"We had a fab stay, there was a little queue at check in and only 2 staff on so the queue moved a little slow however i believe there was an event on the evening so the hotel was quite busy. We were offered a room close to the spa which was quite far from the main reception however perfect for us as we wanted to be in a quiet location and this was perfect. The hotel is like a maze! We encountered many people lost with many corridors and multiple lifts in different areas it is very easy to get lost in! We ate breakfast in the hotel which was buffet style, we arrived around 9am and werr seated straight away. It was average but nice. We used the spa facilities and on the evening it was quite busy and not really enough space for everyone. We had nowhere to sit and relax the pool smelt a little funny but not sure of what tbh. We left after half an hour and returned the next morning which was much quieter and cleaner. The staff also seemed much more friendly and happy to help in the morning (we didnt encounter any rude staff just the morning ataff were more upbeat and friendly) we passed cleaners along the corridors who were happy to help with directions and all seemed friendly. The christmas decorations around the hotel are stunning and really get you in the christmassy mood. Would go again and would reccomend for a little chill break. "

"Carpark not far from the hotel, hotel will stamp the ticket to get reduced price for you. Bit of a wait to book in, but as it was a busy time, to be expected. Hotel clean, staff welcoming. Room with a view of the town and football stadium. Could hear music from across the road, close the window and it is much quieter. Bed was comfortable, shower excellent and room clean. No complaints whats so ever. Would stay again"
