Experience the phenomenon that is the Beatles at this interactive and exciting exhibition, one of the most cherished attractions in the city. While there may be many Beatles museums over the world, The Beatles Story has the advantage of being located in John, Paul, George and Ringo’s home city. The Beatles Story focuses on the city and the stories that shaped the band into the international sensation they became. See the club that hosted the band’s first shows, hear interviews from the early days and discover their family roots in Liverpool. The Beatles Story caters for intrigued visitors and Beatlemaniacs alike.
Begin your visit with an investigation into where it all began with John, Paul, George and Ringo. See a precise replica of the Cavern Club and the stage where the band performed when they were just starting out. Check out of the museum’s highlights, an immense collection of photographs of the Beatles in Liverpool. Throughout the exhibition you can see rare memorabilia such as limited edition vinyl, George Harrison’s guitar and the round spectacles that belonged to John Lennon. Get a deeper understanding with an audio guide, narrated by John’s sister.
Experience the Beatles in 3- and 4-D at the Fab4D Experience. The comical animated story features the Beatles members and, like the rest of the exhibition, is suitable for both adults and children. Kids will especially enjoy the Discovery Zone, an interactive exhibit that encourages children to play on a giant piano or join an informative workshop that details the history of the band.
Find The Beatles Story in the Albert Dock precinct, easily reachable from the city centre by bus, car and on foot. Parking is available in Albert Dock for a fee. The museum is open every day except Christmas Day and Boxing Day, and admission prices are discounted for children.
