"Lovely room although a bit noisy. Not much sound proofing so could hear the people next door very clearly and the tv late at night. The staff were very friendly, the pool a bonus, and a good location to get into Cardiff. A fridge in the room would be useful and where kettle is stationed, there are no plug sockets. We liked the decor and the building is pretty. Overall a lovely stay and would recommend."

"Hotel was clean and welcoming. First impression in foyer is bright and modern. Room a little dated but personally I don’t care about that at all so long as it’s clean, which it was. I appreciated being able to open the window, a good shower with towels that actually fit around an adult, plenty tv channels and good supply of tea/coffee and biscuits. Sometimes thats just what you want when in a hotel for an evening! Staff were helpful and friendly. I wouldn’t hesitate to return or recommend. "

"The setting is a lovely village green, a great place to try out the various ales on tap. The rooms are surprisingly spacious and well equipped. Although we found the beds uncomfortable. Breakfast is recommended especially at £7.50 per head, per morning (if you pay upfront). Although there are items missing that were on the online menu, everyone including me kept asking for the pancakes! Would highly recommend, as long as you can stomach the usual noise associated with a pub and unsupportive...
