"Great location near the old city and by the lake front. We had to move rooms as the sink plug was stuck down in the first room but this was done quickly by helpful receptionist. Pillows were very soft but room change meant we could take pillows with us to have extra ones which made it more comfortable. Air conditioning units cooled the room but were very noisy. We had a roof facing room which was quiet. Very nice dinner at the Chinese buffet under the hotel! Convenient underground parking short...

"This is an excellent hotel. The staff, location and quality of dining is 5-star. I would stay again. Parking is an additional fee of SF15/day. The only complaint is there is no air conditioning in the rooms. On hot days, or even warm days, the rooms are overly warm and the only option is to wait until nightfall and open the patio door - which is a better option if you are not on the ground floor. "this was a disappointing stay. The room was not at all like the photo on the website - smaller and more basic. The breakfast was OK and the views nice but the service was neither welcoming nor hospitable. The main issue we had was with the WIFI - our booking indicated it was available in the room but when we arrived we were told by the Reception staff that there was only WIFI in the lobby and a few rooms above the lobby which according to the staff were more expensive. "We had a pleasant stay at Hotel Murten with our family. We really appreciated the convenient location, close to the lake and the village. The staff is very friendly and welcoming. The room is large and comfortable, although it could use some update in the furniture. Also tv was not working during our stay. The restaurant is good and has a large choice, but unfortunately it was closed both Sunday and Monday. All in all, we recommend this property and we thank the staff for welcoming us!"
