"In generale è andata bene. L'appartamento era abbastanza pulito fatta eccezione per posate e stoviglie che abbiamo dovuto rilavare per residui di sporco. L'alloggio è grande ma non molto curato. La piscina è abbastanza grande ma di sera non si può usare perché mancano le luci (poco pratico). Il casale è il tipico della zona ma è troppo isolato dal paese e la strada per arrivarci è sterrata (molto scomodo). "Our host owner Francesca was in attendance and very engaged in the agribusiness of the Villa. We learned from her the Villa was originally constructed in 16 th century hunting lodge of the DeMedici family. We were given a complimentary wine tasting and tour of the Villa’s production facility. The local town of Vinci was hosting a 400 year anniversary of Leonardo de Vinci and tours of the museum. "We needed a place to stay in or near Vinci for the night before our 3 week stay in a nearby villa began. Il Piastrino looked lovely and was VERY well priced. And it was exceptionally nice—from the spacious, charming rooms (surprise—we had a kitchen), the delicious breakfast, to the warm and welcoming staff. We arrived very late toward the end of a busy pris fixe am fresco dinner service but we were settled in and set at ease. And yes, we returned a few days later for the al fresco dining. Wow....

"The apartments are in a hill near Vinci, they are very clean and have all the necessary items for a confortable stay. The view is excellent and the atmosphere relaxing. Driving distances of less than an hour to Pisa or Florence. "

"Adorable property ( wish we could have stayed longer). Situated in gorgeous hills, quiet place. You really need a car or transportation to get here however. Out room was located on level one no elevator so up one flight of stairs. There is a washer and dryer available however they are more for staff use so you may need to wait a bit to use them. Breakfast was available for about 13 euro per person and to us it was well worth it. The restaurant where breakfast is served is upstairs so anyone...
