If the casinos don’t set your heart pounding, the hours of fun on offer at Adventuredome Theme Park will. The park is home to over 20 rides, including the world’s only indoor double-loop, double-corkscrew roller coaster, bumper cars, climbing walls, a Ferris wheel and a swinging pirate ship.
Adventuredome sits on the Las Vegas Strip and is connected to the Circus Circus Hotel and Casino. As an indoor theme park, the architecture is particularly interesting with the “dome” being made entirely of pink-tinted glass and the area underneath it designed to look like a canyon.
Perfect for families who need a break from the crowds and the sun, Adventuredome is packed with child-friendly rides, like the miniature runaway mine train, Miner Mike, and Thunderbirds—a replica 1920s airplane that takes passengers soaring above the crowds.
For thrill seekers there are plenty of big, exciting rides on offer. Make a splash on the Rim Runner, a water ride with an 18-metre plunge, or lose your way on Chaos, which whirls you in three directions in an unpredictable pattern. Disk’O simultaneously spins and rocks passengers, while the Canyon Blaster roller coaster hurls you through double loops and corkscrews at top speeds.
For a more laid-back approach to life, Adventuredome offers some gentler pursuits, including 4D films, free clown shows, an 18-hole miniature golf course, a virtual reality zone, mini bowling and an arcade with the latest shoot ‘em ups and video games. And when you get hungry, head to the food tent attached to the park, which provides burgers, pizza and ice cream.
Adventuredome is located inside Circus Circus Casino & Resort, at the north end of The Strip, next Stratosphere. The monorail, public bus and mini-bus shuttles all stop here. Ask at your hotel reception for day rates on bus and monorail passes. Adventuredome is open daily, but opening times vary from week to week, so it is a good idea to confirm these in advance. You can purchase tickets for individual rides or a more economical all-day pass.
