"Really enjoyed the stay here. Staff were great, comfortable beds, safe area with lots of restaurants in walking distance. Only a short cab to the main plaza. They stored our bags for the 4 day trek we did and everything was safe, including my friends insulin which they kept in the fridge for us. A little noise because of the airport being so close. "

"The host was extremely helpful from airport pickup to drop-off, and everything in between. She arranged activities for me during my stay, made coca tea for me on occasion to help combat my elevation sickness, and even arranged for an early breakfast before an early morning excursion. They stored my luggage for 24 hours when I traveled to Machu Picchu. The bed was the most comfortable bed I slept in of all the hotels during my 3 weeks traveling through Peru. Will definitely stay here again next...

"I have stayed at Amaru Colonial a few times in the past. I love this beautiful hotel. It has lovely gardens and the rooms have lots of character. There are many choices for breakfast. The staff are amazing and willing to help out how ever they can. It is close to some really great restaurants. The only challenge is walking down the hill. As a Canadian, we are definitely not used to the narrow roads and watching to make sure your purse strap doesn't get caught on a car mirror as the cars...

"This place is excellent for the price. The staff are great and very helpful, although english is limited. Thats where google translate comes in handy. There is breakfast every morning which consists of eggs, bread, slices of cheese, cold cuts, fruit salad and yogurt with cereal. I liked that I could leave my bags after checkout and pick them up later in the day. The room was clean. I had the room facing the street and could hear cars or dogs barking at night but it didnt stop me from sleeping....

"I had a nice stay here. It's a short walk to the historical town square. And also very close to where I took the bus to the Macchu Picchu train. The front desk staff was very welcoming and helpful. Only negative thing was housekeeping didn't replenish the water bottles in my room one day after having it cleaned. It was on the day I went to macchu picchu and I got back late. Room service wasn’t available so I was without drinking water that night and morning after. "
