"Shehan, his wife and young son make Saubagya Inn an excellent choice for a stay at Anuradhapura. The rooms are spacious, the beds comfortable, the bathroom good and the a/c worked well in the hot weather when I stayed. The Guesthouse was about around 40 years ago and with a large, covered veranda makes for very relaxing ‘down time’. Shehan speaks good English and is trained and trains in hospitality. "I got in late and left fairly early, so didn't spend much time there. My room had a bug issue and didn't smell so fresh. Also didn't have hot water in the morning - but that got fixed after I told the person at breakfast. Simple, and has potential, but could use a little freshening up."

"The pictures are deceiving. Positive thing is that the room is spacious and AC is fantastic. Everything else is something to criticize on. I.e a ton of mosquitos, washroom is full of stains, the doors to the bathroom doesn’t close properly making mosquitos to fly into the room through the bathroom. The bed had mattress cover but no blankets whatsoever and had to explicitly request one, which showed up as if a few cats picked a fight in it. "
