"Exceptional hotel, going back in time with a Modern Twist & 5 star service. The warm welcome you get as soon as you walk through the entrance is very special. We had an afternoon tea, used the Spa facilities as well as a treatment. Special thanks to Alice who did my facial and massage and Tony from concierge who did a showed me around the hotel to help choose our room. "

"I only went for a city room. This is a windowless room, but as I was only sleeping in it for the night, that's fine with me. Great value for money, and the hotel has many facilities. Decorated for Christmas. Bar was shut when we arrived back at 11pm. Position on the front is perfect for the pier and bandstand and only a short walk into town centre"

"I didn’t enjoy the aesthetics of the hotel, the outside looked old and the inside showed it was a hotel designed for mainly OAPs as there were stair lifts. The hotel smelled, the floor creaked in the room and you could easily hear people outside your room."

"One of the many good things about The View in Eastbourne is that it has a number of single rooms, and they represent particularly good value for money. Also, great sea views, friendly and helpful staff, nice food, good value, and very clean. My only negative experience is only a minor one. It's just a bit fiddly if you want breakfast in your room - you have to go to reception to get a little form to indicate your order, and then give it back to reception for them to take it from there. "I opted for the bed & breakfast package which was totally worth it. Although the rooms were small, they were clean and had ample space for 2 adults. Amenities were good - hot chocolate, tea with milk, and sugar were a nice touch. The breakfast in the dining room was lovely. The hotel is a bit of a walk from the town center but it is a nice walk to pier -along the boardwalk."
