"I booked a family room for our weekend trip. However, there was a wedding on Saturday night, and while the hotel did post a notice in the elevator about loud music until midnight, they assigned us a room on the 2nd floor—directly above the wedding venue. This seemed like the worst possible placement for a family with young children. A bit more consideration from the staff could have made a difference, like assigning us a room on a higher floor to minimise the noise. "

"The room was clean and cozy and warm. The room service was great as the bed was made and fresh towels given every day. The swimming pool was warm and clean. Very polite and helpful staff. There was live entertainment on one night with a great singer which was very good. The hotel is right on the beachfront and not far from the town centre. We have to visit Eastbound regularly to see my brother who is ill and this is the best hotel we have stayed in so we will be staying here in the future....

"I agree with some other reviews I read before we arrived about how tired the hotel was, I thought what do you expect with an old lady like the Cavendish. The room was big, single beds as requested, a 3 seater sofa, 2 arm chairs, chair and desk, chest of drawers and wardrobe (some hotels don’t even supply that), what luxury for us.
