"The Louise ensuite room was a bit cold upon arrival but the proprietors provided me an electric heater to use (until the central heating system was switched on. The room was elegant, beautifully decorated and spotlessly clean. I felt very satisfied and comfortable. The breakfast was absolutely delicious. "

"I agree with some other reviews I read before we arrived about how tired the hotel was, I thought what do you expect with an old lady like the Cavendish. The room was big, single beds as requested, a 3 seater sofa, 2 arm chairs, chair and desk, chest of drawers and wardrobe (some hotels don’t even supply that), what luxury for us. "I booked a family room for our weekend trip. However, there was a wedding on Saturday night, and while the hotel did post a notice in the elevator about loud music until midnight, they assigned us a room on the 2nd floor—directly above the wedding venue. This seemed like the worst possible placement for a family with young children. A bit more consideration from the staff could have made a difference, like assigning us a room on a higher floor to minimise the noise. "

"Absolutely wonderful stay. Room was beautiful, with added bonus of sofa and reclining chair making the room a home from home. Excellent position 5 mins from seafront and Congress Theatre. Wonderful breakfast, lovely bar area for a night cap if needed, Chris & Caroline are perfect hosts, warm and friendly. Can not recommend highly enough. "

"I opted for the bed & breakfast package which was totally worth it. Although the rooms were small, they were clean and had ample space for 2 adults. Amenities were good - hot chocolate, tea with milk, and sugar were a nice touch. The breakfast in the dining room was lovely. The hotel is a bit of a walk from the town center but it is a nice walk to pier -along the boardwalk."

The guest house is on several floors which does mean taking the stairs, however this is made clear from the start.
