I witnessed 3 separate muggings on the street - including an older couple who were staying at the hotel. Not enough police presence. Unpleasant place to stay when you cannot relax. "I have stayed in this hotel on a previous visit to Fuengirola. I decided to book it again because it is a very clean, comfortable hotel in an excellent location being only 5 minutes walk from the train and bus stations and only 2 minutes from the beach. The staff are very pleasant and helpful. Check in was quick and easy. The room I got on this visit, however, was not as spacious or bright as on my previous visit. There was no wardrobe, only an exposed hanging rail with just 2 hangers on it....

"I was not happy that this huge resort that was almost empty ( low season of November / floods) and yet I was assigned a room that had a door separating it from the next one ( junior suite) occupied by family with little kids. Annoyed little with noise. I would have complained but noise stopped around 9:00 PM which was bearable. The staff were very friendly. "

"We were pleasantly surprised with our experience. Given the price, we did not expect much but as we needed a place to sleep and go in the morning all we hoped for was a clean, safe place. The Hotel Marbella's staff was friendly and helpful, the room was small but clean (and all in all what we actually needed for this 1 night) and the bathroom was spotless.
