"We so enjoyed our stay here. It is an older home but well maintained, very comfortable bed and an amazing view from the large lanai/covered patio that has to be seen to be believed. The neighborhood is quiet which was perfect for us and the house has a well stocked kitchen. "

"We had nine adults and six children under four and stayed for ten days. We literally sat on the deck and ate breakfast and we would spot sea turtles across the street. Great snorkeling and black sand beach right there. We will return again soon."

"The rains definitely started to fall two days into our 3 day visit to Hilo and we desired to move from our relatively off-grid Hipcamp (which we loved!) into an actual hotel room with amenities. Dolphin Bay has been a bucket list hotel for me and sure enough, I checked Hotels.com to see if they had a room on the fly and they did! and one with a kitchen...PERFECT! "The views are just as beautiful as advertised...from the kitchen, living room, front & back patios, and master bedroom. Driving into downtown Hilo was super convenient as was exploring the surrounding attractions - waterfalls, botanical gardens, local farms, etc... Communication with the property manager was easy via phone & text. Although no A/C, there are plenty of fans throughout the house. "

"Lovely restored home. Very nice owner and sweet (I believe Japanese) lady prepared and cooked our breakfast. Lots of snacks and refreshments. We were allowed to use an area in the fridge. "Great house in a great location. Bev was the perfect host. We thoroughly enjoyed the residence. The kitchen was well appointed with lots of little extras. Sunrise from the lanai was amazing. Less than 10 minutes from downtown. There is no air conditioning, but it was not needed. Only had 1 trivial issue while we were there and it was resolved quickly. Would highly recommend. "
