"We booked about 30 minutes before arrival. Then were very happy to be given an upgrade. Receptionist was very helpful and loaded with or persuaded the restaurant to let us book in for 8.45. "Our Christmas stay at the Welcombe Hotel was a nice break. The mansion is stunning, set in 157 acres of beautiful grounds, and if you’re lucky, you might even spot deer roaming around.
