This is a beautiful location but the hotel itself is a little dated. They could use a remodel/updates to be the same standard as most Fairmont hotels.

I think our room looked ready to be refurbished--almost- bare spots and some cuts in carpeted area. What most caught my eye was that there was no type of armchair in the room! When I called to ask for a chair, I very promptly received what what clearly a chair used for banquets/events. I haven't seen a hotel room--from a Holiday Inn Express to the Four Seasons Wailea--without a chair. --The window shades were great for darkening the room, but getting one of them to stay in its track was difficult. The bottom of it was a bit mangled and had black stains on it. The sheer curtains had some mold or rust stains on them. The towels were very thin. -- Breakfast in the restaurant was excellent, service was great, and all personnel were friendly.
