"We stayed at Barcelo from June 25-July 2. It was a couples getaway for my wife and me. We aren't sure how some of these other reviews were even possible with all the scary things they portrayed. They had experiences that were completely different from ours. We had an absolutely wonderful time! The staff was so friendly and were often joking with us. They were so responsive when there was anything that we needed. We had a very beautiful room, it was the Grand Master Suite that had a beautiful view of the ocean from the end of the building on the 5th floor. The best part of the room was the lounges out on our balcony. We spent so much time out on the balcony, which wrapped around the corner room. My wife and I really enjoyed the food in the buffet restaurant, and we also had a great time in 3 other restaurants on site. We are grateful for how easy they made it for us to make reservations at any restaurant at any time. They are so accommodating! We loved the premium lounge staff who were always eager to help even when they were swamped with questions. The pools area was beautiful, and we especially appreciated the adult pool with all the waterfalls and the space to spread out. While the games pool was very loud throughout the day, we realized that people in the pool were having fun a different way. The loud sound system at the games pool was better avoided by us up in our room or on our balcony. We have been to Mexico 6 times now at various resorts and this was by far the best!!"

"The purpose for this trip was accomplished! I got upgraded to a bigger room due to some miscommunication upon reserving. Very relaxed experience, the place is so big and it is adults only so there is the choice to party and have fun and at the same time to relax. The SPA provided great service. All staff were friendly, caring and kind. A few areas need a little of maintenance, maybe an extra person during check in (only 1 person checking in, kind of a long wait) I will definitely go back. Thank you!! "
