The Neighborhood:
Bordering Maida Vale, Ladbroke Grove and Kensal Rise to the West and West Hampstead to the North, Queen's Park has firmly cemented itself as one of North West London's most fashionable areas.
Queen’s Park is flanked by two buzzing high streets: Salusbury Road to the east and Chamberlayne Road to the west, both with a great choice of independent shops, gastropubs, cafes and bars. There is an excellent Turkish restaurant, Bob's café and Gail’s are great for brunch, The Salusbury dining rooms, and the newest addition, Japanese Michiko Sushino. Head to the popular farmer's market on Sundays hosted in Salusbury school's playground for great food and a taste of how the locals live. If you fancy visiting the pubs then The Alice House, Salisbury or North London Tavern are the best around.
Queen’s Park is served by the Bakerloo line and the overground with direct trains to Euston and central London (20 mins to Oxford Circus). The overland train from Brondesbury or Kilburn runs to Richmond to the west and Stratford to the east. Numerous buses from Kilburn High Road serve central London and the City.
Queen's Park itself is a fabulous outdoor space and facilities include six all-weather tennis courts, a pitch and putt course, a pétanque pitch, an ornamental garden, a children's playground with a paddling pool, a small zoo and a café.
Queen's Park has a great village feel with lovely residential roads flanked by period homes, pretty green spaces, and an award-winning Sunday farmers market. Getting Around:
Queen's Park & Kilburn offer a range of transport options: buses (including night buses), the Underground and the Overground. The No 16 bus, and its night version, go to Victoria via Marble Arch; the No 98, and its night version, run to Holborn via Oxford Circus; the No 189 goes down Quex Road on its way to Oxford Circus.
Kilburn Tube station is on the Jubilee line and Kilburn Park is on the Bakerloo line. Brondesbury is on the Overground to Gospel Oak and Highbury & Islington, and Kilburn High Road is on the Overground line which runs from Watford Junction to Euston.
