"Loved the onsen and fitness room area, large spacious room and comfy traditional outfits to wear around. As mentioned in other reviews, don’t expect to eat without a reservation made days in advance— however there are a few options at Yannusen next door ( 5 min walk). Laundry wouldn’t dry in the dryer at all after 2 hrs, best to hang it up! Overall we enjoyed our stay."

"The in-room mineral bath was so rejuvenating. The shuttle service to near-by train stations was convenient. The meals were “out of this world” scrumptious and unique to Japan salmon, tuna, barracuda, etc). The staff were kind and gracious (and busy). This place is a gem! "If you’re going to Mt Fuji, then try this side of the mountain and stay at this place. This ryoken (traditional Japanese Inn) has everything a ryoken would typically have, but also an onsen on the first floor. Having a bath in the onsen after seeing Lake Yamanaka and Mt Fuji on your front steps is something I'll never forget, and cant wait to experience again. One caveat is that the amenities in the room are small, but not really an issue. As for entertainment or good places, you’ll have to go...
