"What had a fabulous stay at Friars Carse. It is set in glorious surroundings, and the staff were helpful, friendly and welcoming. We staying in one of the cottages in the grounds and it was perfect in every way - clean, spacious, with all the furnishing in good order and of high quality. The food in the hotel was lovely, fresh, good portion size and reasonably priced. Would highly recommend and we are looking forward to a return visit! "

"The Thistle Inn was the perfect stop for the night. We were greeted by the owner and the room was cool and quiet. Exactly what we needed after a long drive. Breakfast was cooked to order and delicious. Michelle is very pleasant and enjoyed talking about the area with great recommendations for other places to visit."

"I stayed in the White Hart Hotel for a short break with my brother. The couple who run it were welcoming and check-in was effortless. Breakfast had a cooked option in addition to cereal etc. which we opted for. We each had a room with en suite which were spacious and clean. There were several places to eat within 10-15 minutes walk."

"Really friendly and helpful staff. Both the check in staff on entry and exit were friendly and helpful. There was a particularly kind and helpful cleaning lady/ chambermaid on Friday pm. The fact it’s close to the motorway and also overlooking a lake are big pluses. "
