"We made a booking far in advance. Upon arrival they appeared to have double booked their hotelrooms so even though we already paid for everything we had to spend the whole day looking for another place to stay. The alternative they offered was a hotel in the city center far away from the beach and nothing like the experience we were looking for. Luckily we found some other places to stay but we had to book 2 different hotels because it was busy everywhere. The guy behind the desk wasn't very...

"The central location on akumal is great. There is plenty to do here without needing a car....bike or golf cart recommended though."

"This is an apartment not a hotel. The room is tastefully decorated and has a decent bathroom. The building entrance is on an unpaved alley that is not well lit in the evening. There were mouse or rat droppings outside the door, though no evidence of them in the room. It is located on a busy highway, with large trucks that can cause the windows to rattle. This is about 15 minute walk from where the nice restaurants in Tulum are located and about a 30 minute bike ride to the beach area."

"Where to begin? From Elissa, Anna, Judi, Javier, and all others we saw regularly.Sweetest cat, Gatito, greeted us each evening upon our return. Anna (a real angel on Earth) cooked up a breakfast storm and kept our room spotless. Javier and Judi were so much fun and so extraordinary in their helpfulness and kindness.
