Don’t bother trying to reach any hotel staff by telephone! You have to actually walk to concierge or front desk. They rarely answer the phone. One night, calling the front desk, I literally let the phone ring for 14 mins. Someone picked up, then just hung up. We travel a lot and have never experienced such awful issues with trying...
