"The hotel was in a great position for the town and car parking was a bonus. The room was large and well appointed. We stayed to celebrate our wedding anniversary and the complimentary bottle of wine was a lovely and much appreciated touch. I’m leaving a 4-star review because, on arrival, I was told that they were not taking food bookings because the kitchen was maxed out due to the Christmas parties that the hotel was hosting. I was told my best bet would be to order takeaway or go into town. For me that’s not acceptable; service should be consistent for paying guests over events being hosted. "
