"First of all I want to shout out to the Royal level team,Odalys, Alejandra, Maricruz and also the stuff at La Carreta restaurant Meseros, Armando, Claudia, Carlos, Rogelio and Shany. This is a lovely secluded place surrounded by the jungle and is very serene and quiet. I stayed at the Royal level and was pampered like a king they really make sure you stay is the best it can be and any problems were addressed with immediately. Slightly older place the Wi-Fi could be better but was fine and a little trouble with the hot water but they fixed it right away. We had a nice private pool and the food and private restaurant was absolutely wonderful. I went to a couple of other restaurants the corral or the Playa at the beach where they had a wonderful buffet and on certain night specialty seafood. Are you a cane so I was able to gain access to a shuttle if needed but it is walkable with a cane. Pro dive is on location for your convenience."

"We stayed at Secrets for 7 days on our honeymoon and loved it. We were in a "preferred room" which I would recommend because we had access to all the other pools/restaurants which we really liked. The adult only aspect was really nice. We loved the swim-up bar. Easy and quick to get drinks. Staff/service was great! We were always able to find loungers by the pool or beach and staff would come around to get us food/drinks. We enjoyed all the restaurants and thought the food was great (neither of us are picky). We only had a wait at the sushi restaurant on the rooftop, which is a small place. 24-hour room service was also really nice. The property and rooms are older - but not gross or falling apart as some of the reviews I read would suggest. We had a couple issues with water pressure and flickering lights, but not a big deal - we weren't there to hang out in the hotel room. Housekeeping came daily and restocked our minifridge with beers, snacks and towels. We dove with Dive Palancar which was definitely the highlight of the trip - they were right next door to Dreams so we could walk over or they would pick you up at the dock. Staff were great and the diving is amazing!"

"Allegro was genuinely one of the most amazing experiences of our lives; the resort staff are so friendly and accommodating, the food is pretty decent (the tacos are amazing!!!) and the drinks are great! The pools are super nice and the rooms were pretty great too :) Arbey and Diego though were the best, super entertaining people and some of the kindest we met there! The late night shows are absolutely worth seeing, especially the Acrobatics show and Latin night! Carlos, our server most nights, made us a special going away dessert table side to celebrate our last night of our honeymoon and it was so heart warming (and delicious) If you’re looking for a good snorkelling experience outside the resort Chankanaab park is literally only 10 minutes away and the best snorkelling I’ve ever done (even got to see a sea turtle!), and the ATV ride excursion you book through the resort is worth every penny and more in our opinion. I highly recommend renting a car from the resort and exploring town for at least one day as well, if you’re a little deeper in town the souvenirs are nice and well priced. ALSO; watch the sunset on the beach at the resort if you can. It is actually magical "

"We stayed in one of the villas and had a great stay! Spacious 3 bed 4 bath unit, super clean, friendly staff and central to everything. A short few minute drive to the beach and coastline. Only issue we had was low water pressure in the shower, but other than that, a great stay. The staff go above and beyond to ensure you are having a great stay!"
