"Nice upmarket hotel with very nice rooms. Bit let down by management. Did not honour the flexible reservation and allow the change of duration of one of the two rooms we booked well before we arrived. Included breakfast restrictive, omelet allowed but no poached eggs, certain juices etc. No proper tea options (only camomille and green tea), no butter one day, proper coffee was an extra etc. Service in restaurant slow and we left one day without breakfast as nothing was produced in 30 minutes...

"I came to Cozumel for dive training and had a great experience at El Cid. The staff were very friendly, the room was spacious with everything I needed, and the cleaning staff took care of the room every day. I paid for the all-inclusive meal plan and enjoyed all meals and drinks - worth the month. I might consider upgrading to elite to get the butler service. Overall, It was a great experience and I’ll be back. "

"This was my second time staying at this property and you can see some things that are growing in more need of repair. The food on the menu clearly tries to be healthy but the choices are not real appealing to everyone. The free breakfast is for sure nothing to write about except the presentation.
