"Absolutely gorgeous hotel and grounds. The staff go above and beyond and really do pay attention to detail (kids colouring tables, board games and wellies to hire, as well as a box of sticks for dogs!). I was dubious about taking my 6 year old twins as I wasn’t sure if the hotel was kid-friendly, but the staff made them feel so welcome and they even got free ice creams! The room was lovely. Clean, comfortable and light. We were lucky enough to have sunny weather, so sitting out on the terrace...

Lovely welcoming touches (welcome note in the room, complimentary sweet treats, fresh milk for teas etc.); very good a la carte breakfast; comfortable room with good radio and TV, and pod coffeemaker (plastic free pods); lovely toiletries in refillable bottles in bathroom; all the satgg we met were excellent. "For some people the room might be small. However my son and I got up early and went sightseeing and came back late, SO room size wasn't a problem. The staff was very helpful.
