"I highly recommend this resort. The view is fantastic, the staff is friendly, and the food selection is excellent. Everything is clean and modern. The beverage selection was outstanding and used high end ingredients. This property is very close to the Maho Beach and the airport runway. We thought it was fun to watch the planes take-off and land. However, some people may be bothered by the noise."

"When I booked the terrace room with a water view, the pictures in Expedia led me to believe the room would be nicer than it actually was. There were no pictures of the room we were in. "I liked so many things about Curtain Bluff. The beach area is beautiful and all of the activities are within easy reach. The food was diverse and delicious. A new dinner menu every evening with wonderful choices. Everybody was extremely friends, including the people who were also vacationing there. I loved the open-ness of the public areas, so it was cool and comfortable without being air conditioned. It was a great spot to relax or keep busy."

"Only stayed for one night , efficient check in, lovely room,clean and all the amenities that you could want. Only thing I didn’t realise it was European sockets. Beautiful beach & very friendly staff. French guy at the bar was a real hoot! Would definitely return if we were around longer "

"We had an amazing stay at Hotel Esmerelda! The spacious villas are private and secure, with a gated entrance and a private walkway to the beach. It’s also just a short walk to Orient Beach Village, so we felt safe letting our young daughters explore on their own. The resort’s restaurant is fantastic—make sure to book in advance for the Friday lobster special. Breakfast is complimentary, with fresh fruit and French breads, offering a taste of the authentic French West Indies. If you're looking for an American-style buffet, this isn’t it, but the offerings are perfect for a relaxed start to the day. Overall, this resort combines comfort, privacy, and convenience for a wonderful St. Martin experience. Highly recommend!"
