5/5 Excellent
Epitome of relaxation. The perfect ryokan
"We stayed for just one night to expierence the best this ryokan had to offer and man did it exceed all our expectations. To truly know, book one of their 4 suites. The #500 rooms. Massive rooms with authentic tatami mats, personal and private onsen that is open air facing the beautiful lake, out of this world seasonal dinner/breakfast course. The area is secluded enough to be quiet but not far from the local town. Cute and quaint souvenir shop. Oh and the bidet toilet is the best we've ever seen. Lastly, the staff is extremely accommodating, friendly, and helpful. They know english very well too. They have a shuttle that does pick up and drop off from Ogotoonsen Station so skip the taxi and call the resort when you get there. If you have cell service there is a free cell phone that you can use to call the resort. Theres also a guide of numbers for all the resorts in the area. To wrap up, book a night at this ryokan you will not regret treating yourself to a time of lavish luxury. "

"Incredible stay! The ryokan experience was unforgettable – a memory for life. The staff was knowledgeable and respectful. The public onsen views were stunning, plus there’s a private onsen option for a fee. The free shuttle to and from the train station was super convenient. Highly recommend!"
