"What a great place!! In the middle of a neighborhood. Doesnt look that appealing but when you go inside the locked gate at Casa Toñita, it's a completely different world! Everything was so vlean and orderly. The pool sparkled the whole week were there. The only thing we didn't care for was it doesn't get very dark in the room at night. There is no blanket on the bed. We had to buy one. And thr neighborhood roosters will start waking you around 130 am... "

"Great location!! Nice front office and housekeeping staff. Room air conditioning was challenging, didn't seem to work, just blow. Restaurant- while close and the food was good, it was pricey and the staff could have been more attentive (gaps in service). The inside area between the hotel and airport terminal seemed to have some characters hanging and sleeping about."

"If only the front desk people will be like Jose, Joel and Carlos, it will be perfect. Everybody from the Cana De Azucar are very helpful and friendly. The only person that is very pleasant is Denise. Both Valerie and Viktoria are not supposed to be working in the front desk as they never seems to like what they are doing. Not smiling nor looking approachable. This hotel can get get a perfect score but didn’t happen because of this 2 CS. Food are great and the free breakfast was amazing. "

"We always enjoy staying at Fairmont El San Juan but this last visit found the rooms and pool areas starting to feel old and in need of some attention. Our shower head didn’t work so we used the hand held shower and the tiles around the property were loose in areas. Just needs some attention but for the rates you pay, this place should be pristine. "The pool is awesome with plenty of lounge chairs and access to one of the most beautiful beaches I have seen with just pure sand versus rocks and garbage mixed in. "Discovered this place a couple years back and it is my go to every time I am in the San Juan area. The staff is extremely helpful. It has everything that you would need,hot running water in very cold AC. Free parking and walking access to the beach. There is a common kitchen which is extremely convenient to keep beverages and leftovers. It will continue to be my go to when I am in the San Juan area.
