"Our time at Pingchan Bungalows in Koh Phangan was nothing short of amazing—we only wish we had stayed longer than four days! Nestled on the stunning Thong Nai Pan Yai Beach, this hidden gem is the perfect retreat for a peaceful and relaxing getaway. Waking up to the sight of soft white sand and the soothing sound of waves was pure bliss. Our beachfront bungalow was spacious, comfortable, and well-equipped with air conditioning, a fridge, mosquito net, a cozy bed, Netflix, and private daybeds on both the patio and the beach. The property itself is one of the best on the beach, featuring a central location, a lovely pool, and a fantastic beachfront massage spot right next door. Breakfast was simple but satisfying, and there were plenty of local restaurants and beach bars within walking distance. For even more dining options, we enjoyed taking a quick bike ride to Thong Nai Pan Noi, which had a wider selection of great restaurants. Our only suggestion would be for the hotel to renovate the beachfront restaurant, as it has incredible potential. Currently, there’s no lunch or dinner service, but adding a beach bar for sunset drinks would make it even more special. If you’re looking for a tranquil, rejuvenating escape, this is the place to be. We’ll definitely be back!"

"Lovely property with great staff. The rooms are gorgeous, traditional design. The only negatives being some of the rotting woodwork, such as the sunbed boats, and railing round the main restaurant. Whilst there has been a general lack of upkeep there, Santhiya is still a lovely property for peace and quiet and id recommend it !"

"Wonderful property and staff Literally steps to the beach. Quaint little street connected to the property with very good western food 7/11 and mini marts within 5 min walk. Cute pool lots of families with small kids so not a party place but very cool and chill. Very calm water waist deep paddleboards available. Nice sun rise location if weather permits. Only negative might be pool hours 7 to 7 Great spot would return again"

"Absolutely gorgeous villa. Beautifully designed with views that come straight out of most people’s idea of ‘idyllic’ . However, you need to understand that to get this kind of view on a small and busy island - it is by necessity REMOTE .. not ‘a bit away from town’ REMOTE with an incredibly difficult road that requires an experienced 4WD driver to reach the villa. Luckily, Andi is on hand to facilitate any trips you want to make away from the villa. (Personally I didn’t need to leave but the adult kids enjoyed scootering around the island and an organised snorkel/kayak tour to the marine national park. ) . Andi is a fantastic ‘fixer’ of all things. He can suggest things to do and places to go - he can also cook occasional meals and pick up food - but please note , the cook/housekeeper is NOT available as she has retired. So make sure you stock up. The villa itself is very beautiful in its design. It’s three stories with 2 large doubles on the 2nd floor with a generous shared bathroom between. First floor houses the kitchen, Lovely Dining room, and TV room. The pool is here as well and is a good size and quite deep. Ground floor has a large double bedroom on either side of the house, both have en-suites. There is aircon in all bedrooms if required. Kitchen is open plan to the pool and well enough equipped, perhaps this is the only area for a bit of an update as pots/pans have seen better days. (A small thing compared to the overall fabulous-ness of this place.)"
