Beautifully designed and appointed home in Volcano
A peaceful getaway in the rain forest near Hawaii Volcanoes National Park with a great setup. We loved the privacy, the space, the easy access (that still gave a feeling of remoteness), the comfortable bed, the gas fireplace, the whirlpool tub and the wonderful kitchen. Everything seemed brand new. The house has been designed with several features that make me think the owner or designer is Japanese, including a genkan and a tanuki statue at the entry. The only (minor) complaint would be occasionally glitchy internet, but this didn't interfere with our enjoyment in any way.

Peaceful, private and perfect location
A last minute stay! Our host was very accommodating at organizing our stay. Wish we had more time, as once we arrived, we could have happily stayed awhile. Beautiful and tasteful furnishings, garden, and a fireplace to take off the chill. Everything I would want in my own home! I booked quickly from the car, so did not realize this is more like an Airbnb with code instructions and cleaning fee. My error, but just be aware when you book yourself. Not that I won’t plan to stay in this gorgeous place again, I’ll just stay longer!

Hideaway in Volcano
This was an absolutely beautiful home...perfect in every way. The landscaping was incredible and the whole place was the epitome of peace and relaxation. We were only able to stay one night, but would have stayed forever! We will always remember the short earthquake tremor at 3:00 a.m.....it was our first! My husband liked the ease of the WIFI, but he said the home was a little tricky to find...Google Maps said it was on the right side of the road, but it was on the left. Luckily, I spotted it because I recognized it from the Hotels.com photo. I wish this was my personal Hawaii home, but I guess I will have to be satisfied with going back every chance we get! Thank you for such a wonderful "home away from home."

A Perfect House at Volcanoes National Park
An excellent, immaculate, stylish, and comfortable small house, conveniently located near the entrance to Volcanoes National Park. The fully-equipped kitchen is great. Bring groceries from Hilo or Kona.

refuge in the rain forest
What a beautiful place. it was spotless, fully stocked with everything you would need (including rain gear!), the fireplace was great too. I would definitely recommend it, and would stay again. If you do stay, walk back into the rain forets behind the house--they have created a trail in the trees and you can hear the honeycreeper, our indigenous bird, their incredible songs.

Jungle hideaway
Beautiful home in a jungle like setting. Arrived after dark and there were no outside lights on and it was very dark. Fortunately we had a flashlight to help us find the door. A motion light on the garage would be nice. Bed was very soft which some people like but we prefer a firm bed. However you can’t please everyone on this issue. We couldn’t get the fireplace to work. There were clear simple directions which we followed but it wouldn’t come on. Some lights were burned out. There were no curtains or shades on the windows which was kind of weird. The washer and dryer were nice. Well equipped kitchen. Free range cows had left some calling cards in the lawn which we barely missed stepping in the night we arrived.

Top notch accommodation
This was by far the best choice I have ever made on Hotels.com. This is a beautifully decorated home surrounded by tropical foliage. It is fully equipped with anything you could need for your stay. Only one bedroom, but a daybed and sofa in the living area. It has a sunny full kitchen and dining area. The back porch is secluded and a peaceful place to relax.

A natural beauty!
All I can really say about this place is wow! The grounds and building were exceptional. The place was very clean and nicely prepped for our arrival with fresh flowers. It was the perfect location for accessing Volcanoes National Park and several other attractions such as the black sand beach. I never actually spoke with any owners or staff because they instructions were so clear and there were no problems that necessitated communication. I would absolutely recommend this place to anyone and everyone!

Full private home nestled in tropical jungle
We were pleasantly surprised that this was a gorgeous private house nestled in what felt like a tropical jungle. For the price it seemed too good to be true, but that is when I realized I didn't check the fine print. The cleaning and processing fee was pretty steep(~$85) for a single night's stay. Had I caught that detail earlier, we probably would have booked multiple days to make it more worth it. That was my mistake, though, so I still give this rental 5 stars.

Beautiful Way to Get Away From It All
After a long day of driving around Big Island it was wonderful to come home to a beautiful new home in Volcano Village with the fire already on for our arrival. I would happily stay here again. They also have a small trail in the backyard to showcase the beautiful vegetation Hawaii offers. Thanks again for a wonderful weekend in your beautiful home.
