"You can judge quality by the quality of sunbeds. And they’ve got nice ones. Also you can tell 5 star by the quality of service received especially during breakfast as they waft around tidying plates but unnoticed as subtle. Mix up with paying twice but resolved satisfactorily. Quality products in bathroom. Definitely would stay again and recommend "

"This hotel is very well situated - easy walking to the Cairns marina, esplanade and various top restaurants. Our marina executive room had a wonderful view of the marina and mountains beyond. Walking to the city centre is also easy. Our room was well serviced by staff who were very non intrusive. The facilities are very clean. Updating the t.v. to a smart t.v. to allow access to streaming channels would be a plus.The pool is in a lovely setting, but some form of water heating would make swimming in the pool in August more inviting. Overall though a lovely place to stay."

"The bottom stair was rotting and fell away when my husband stepped on it. The stair rail was unstable. Ince it broke away and was reported, it was fixed straight away. The position of the tv made it hard to watch. The lounge was under the tv. Sitting at the table to watch tv, gave you a sore neck. Thus we had to lie down in the double bed to watch tv. Staff were friendly and helpful. "
