"A lovely hotel. Steps from subway. Dining and shopping everywhere. Room was very comfortable. We appreciated the welcome gift. Bathroom was clean; looked like it had recently been retiled. Could have used soap at the sink instead of reaching to the shower for soap to wash your hands. Biggest issue was a lack of hot water. We addressed this at the front desk and received compensation."

"The room was AMAZING! We were on the 16th floor with fantastic views of the Chrysler building in a business executive sweet offering a formal living space, mini fridge, microwave, walk-in closet, spacious bathroom with walk-in shower, and large bedroom. Definitely recommend! The staff was also extra accommodating and super friendly from check-in to check out."

"The hotel's facade and lobby are simply old school gorgeous! Clearly a lot of history here. Our check-in was swift, and the man who checked us in was thoughtful and kind. Unfortunately, the heater in our initial room was broken, and it took some time to get a manager then maintenance in there. It could not be repaired with us in the room, but the maintenance guy said the front desk would call us shortly with the new room number. After an hour wait in a room that was actually colder than next to the front doors in the lobby (I never took off my coat, hat, or scarf), I called the front desk. I had to come down. Agh. Miscommunication there someplace, and we were FREEZING. But we got a very nice alternate room on the same floor, and we were very happy with that (heater AND a better view AND more room!) Central to Manhattan, across the street from Starby's and Liberty Bagel, attentive staff, and excellent restaurants right on the premises! Will stay here again when in Manhattan."

"Excellent location—so close to everything. Rooms are small, but they use the space very well. Wasn’t thrilled about the mandatory “Destination Fee,” but the bar and cafe where we could use our daily credit at were decent. The vibe of the hotel is very young and the messaging was a bit sexualized…not a place catering toward kiddos. Overall, a good experience and we would definitely stay again. "
