"A great place to stay for a few days while visiting Yosemite. We stayed for just one night and really enjoyed it. The area is picturesque nestled just outside the national park. There are a few food and drink options on site but I would suggest visiting a whole foods or supermarket nearby to get something for dinner. Breakfast options are available from the lobby however."

"We stayed in a tent bungalow as the weather was getting colder. I wouldn’t recommend the tent bungalow between November 1 to April 1 unless you enjoy the cold. The only heat available is an electric blanket, which works well, but you don’t have the option to really “hang out” in your room if staying in a tent bungalow in fall or winter months. Overall, this is a beautiful location and an average value for staying by the ocean. "

"Great location. The burger and toasted cheese sandwiches that we ate in the snack bar were as good as any others we had in California. Price is high for the room but that is to be expected when staying in a NP and being surrounded by all the natural beauty. All the staff we met were very nice and helpful. "This was our second stay with Black Bear lodge. We really enjoy it. It is so quiet and relaxing. We usually end up taking an afternoon nap with the fireplace on or making a cup of tea and reading on the patio or by the fireplace under the stairs. Staff is helpful and friendly and was able to get us a 10% discount to Riva Grill! Recommend this place!"

"The front desk is very friendly and accommodating upon requests. I stayed in what was advertised the 700 foot mobile home. It was a RV that you drive. The carpet inside was quite worn down as well as the couch and seating area.
