"The history of the Inn makes it unique. We have wanted to stay here for years but just never did. We definitely will stay again. Our room was an older room and small, but fine for my wife and I. The breakfast was great and staff was as well. The location is perfect for walking downtown. During by the fireplace and reading, talking, and watching the snow fall was great. Free hot chocolate, cider, and coffee is a bonus also. We love Gatlinburg. "

"We found the hotel quite by chance after our previous booking at Asheville was cancelled due to Hurricane Helene. We absolutely loved everything about our stay - the hotel, the location, the staff, the hot tub, the hiking trails, and the trout I had in the Tapoco Tavern was one of the best meals I have had during my time in the US. We live in the UK but will definitely recommend the lodge to our family living in Atlanta and anybody we know visiting North Carolina "

"Was a nice stay while we were just visiting for a couple days. The rooms were spacious and there was two living rooms also. The kitchen was newly done and worked great for our stay. There was rather strap stairs to our loft upstairs, just as a FYI. I would recommend and would stay again."

"We are so happy we chose this hotel to be our home base while visiting friends in the area. The proximity to the university, downtown, and everything else we were there to do and see couldn't be beat. Our room was graciously appointed, generous in size, impeccably clean, and as comfortable as home. The common areas were beautiful, welcoming, and classy-yet-cozy too. The Carnegie in Johnson City has become one of our favorites that we look forward to sharing with others. We'll definitely be back...
