"Free ramen and ice cream at night plus the massage chairs (although sometimes there's a line), were a really pleasant surprise. The furo bath area was a little crowded at times but once you've cleaned yourself there are multiple soaking pools including a meditation pool with dim lighting and soothing music. My favorite was the outdoor soaking pool. It's also the hottest so often I had it all to myself. The breakfast buffet is amazing. Great hot chocolate if that's your thing. Very comfortable...

"This is truly one of the nicest hotels that we have ever stayed at. The staff are all very kind, the facilities are all very intentional, clean, sleek, and add to the experience. Our room was lovely, the steam shower especially was a huge highlight to decompress after a big day of exploring Kyoto. It is very easy to walk to train and bus stops and get around most of Kyoto.
