"Excellent location, right in the action, a block to 5th ave and tons of restaurants and bars. Only a few rooms in the hotel have been renovated to look like the pictures, mine was not, looked like it was renovated in 1970, but it was clean, no mold, no bugs. Bed was firm but comfortable, smart tv and good A/C. Big issue for me was no mini fridge. Ivan the manager was awesome, very helpful and kind. Come to party or bring earplugs, the nightclub next door gets going around 1130pm and runs until...
"This hotel is not really for tourists. If you just want a nice clean place to stay for a night or two and you have your own transportation to get to the local attractions you will be satisfied. We reserved a room with a kitchenette but it was not useful because there are no plates, utensils or pots and pans, so there is no way to cook unless you know this ahead of time. The little pool is nice with a few deck chairs around for relaxing. "

Hyatt Vivid Playa Del Carmen - Adults Only - All Inclusive
10/10 Excellent
"This resort was excellent! The amenities were accessible and very accommodating, even for someone like me, who was 7 months pregnant. The food was about 4/5. Dolma was the BEST restaurant on the resort. Pelicanos was great as well. Asiana was doable, but not as great as expected. The buffet is the buffet, but not bad at all. The resort is a few short steps from 5th Ave, so there are opportunities to enjoy nightlife and some shopping during the day. The pool was IMMACULATE. Not too crowded, extremely clean, and the service was excellent. Room service was also great and timely. If you are younger or looking for a more club/turn-up vibe, this is not the place for you. Entertainment is light and fun. This is more for the relaxed individual looking to escape the everyday hustle and just reset and recenter. The beach did have a lot of seaweed, but that's nature, not the resort's fault. They worked around the clock to make the seaweed go away, but there was just too much. The spa was not bad either, just a little pricey for my taste. Overall excellent experience and would definitely rebook! "

"Great property, nicely setup and well taken care of. Common areas are fantastic, with touch of luxury and authenticity. Food is nothing special, average at best, but the restaurants setup is really nice. If you like activities, the staff is not that interested in summoning people in to participate, there is not an active engagement to get few people in to play volleyball or stretch. If you are there, you're there, if no one shows up they leave. Service is wonderful, rooms are great. Beach is super nice, but seaweed is unbearable, like in all areas of that coast. Water is brown. I am a beach person and dont like swimming pools, yet couldn't force myself to go into the water, it was that bad. Yet again, it is not a property issue, it is a regional issue at large. Outside areas are nice and safe to walk. There is a small shopping plaza right across and Playa Del Carmen is 25 minutes away walking. Cab is $10 each way. The whole area is safe and fun to walk around. The whole Playacar area is gated, and the hotel is double gated. We had a great time."
"Honestly the BEST customer service i've had in a long time. Travelled with 7 girls for a bach. It was a small resort, walkable, clean and the team was unbelievably kind. Special shout out to Jorge the Chef. I am celiac and he walked me around the buffet telling me what was safe and what wasn't & even brought me my own dessert! So kind & accommodating, would recommend!"
"It a 15 to 27 min walk to the 5th avenida. It like 10 to 13 min walk to chedraui and mcdonald's. Conviently close to collectivos to cancun and tulum 15 min walk. Only critic about this hotel is they have a mini bar for snacks at elvated prices, their is no daily managers reception, the beach offered is at a cost 500 or 600 pesos to beach clubs that are really far,no coffee or tea in common areas and no area shuttle (only taxis that charge alot ). But the rooms are renovated and beautiful, staff is so nice and meet your needs and the breakfast buffets are so yummy. They had adobe beef, green chile beef, nopal beef, hot dog casserole, pasta and potato beef stew. Aside from pancakes, cereals, breads, fresh cut fruit, qnd make your own chilaquiles. The chef is amazing and staff is constantly cleaning and placing more pans of freshly made food. Beware it the mexican locals that hog all the food or tamper with it. Like leaving it open, contaminating it by putting back what they served themselves or dropping other food when serving onto other containers . I seen turíst being more cautious with this. Like example papaya dropped into yogurt pan. Im allergic to papaya so I couldnt enjoy the yogurt. "
