"Beautiful area, amazing food, the hot springs out in nature are great. The staff are super friendly and helpful and the whole experience is amazing. Worth it even if it's just one night."
"Probobly the best hotel I’ve ever stayed at. Area is incredibly beautiful as well. Make sure to have lunch at the information center next to the train station. "
"The stay here was wonderful. The staff were amazing, the dining experience was perfect. Would recommend for anyone that wants a quiet onsen off the main travel path."
"Very remote, but beautiful surrounding. Only sensible, if you want to visit the closeby temples and go hiking. But it is an excellent hotel, which exceeded my expectations by far."
"We had 3 fantastic stays at the Riverte Kyoto Kamogawa. Very service minded staff that took good care of us from arriving to checkout. Room was spacious, nice and comfortable - and the hotel has a small rooftop terrace. Area is quiet and nice, but with a selection of amazing small restaurants close by. We will stay here again when we visit Kyoto. "
"The landlord is very nice and helpful. The property is very clean and decorative. This is the most comfortable place during our vacation in Japan. Strongly recommend this wonderful house. "
"The room was huge, brand new and beautiful with incredible amenities, but the service sets apart the Kamo from other hotels. The staff repeatedly went beyond expectations."
"We loved this stay. The property was very nice and they had a beautiful garden. I loved the amenities that they provided. I would go back for their private bath and breakfast!"

"My stay at Hotel Okura Kyoto was truly exceptional and exceeded every expectation. From the moment I arrived, the staff impressed me with their warmth, professionalism, and genuine dedication to guest comfort. Every interaction felt personal and attentive, making me feel valued throughout my visit.
The room was beautifully designed, spacious, and meticulously maintained, with thoughtful amenities that made my stay both relaxing and convenient. The attention to detail in both comfort and cleanliness was outstanding. I especially appreciated the seamless blend of modern luxury with traditional Kyoto charm.
Dining at the hotel’s restaurants was another highlight. The food quality was simply superb, with dishes prepared to perfection and presented with elegance. Every meal was a delightful experience that reflected the high culinary standards the hotel is known for.
Overall, Hotel Okura Kyoto sets a gold standard in hospitality with its world-class service, excellent accommodations, and exceptional dining. I would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Kyoto and will certainly return on my next trip."
"Staffs are very helpful and friendly. Hotel offers free shuttle from and to hotel to train station every 20 minutes which makes it extremely convenient for public transportation. Our room has 3 beds and it is a good room size. They also offer two breakfast options: Japanese breakfast meal set of American breakfast buffet. I personally don’t think it is the best breakfast either option but if you like not to worry about looking for breakfast places, it is the way to go. Overall, I highly recommend this hotel when staying in Kyoto. "
"It was a very unique experience. They were agreeable, and when language was a barrier, even those who didn't know English, they were fluent enough to understand what you were saying and what you wanted/needed and delivered promptly. While I did attempt to use my limited Japanese, it was just that, limited. Whenever I'm in Kyoto again, I would likely come back to this Inn."
